SHE'Light - A Women of Hospitality & Tourism Training Event:
A Brunch to Remember
On Monday, September 9, 2024, members of Alaska's hospitality and tourism industries gathered for a memorable SHE'Light training and networking event. This was the first of a three-part training series set against the backdrop of a lively brunch. Held at the Petroleum Club of Anchorage, the event brought together industry professionals for an afternoon filled with insightful training, enriching conversations, and a touch of brunch-time indulgence.
The event kicked off with a delectable spread of brunch-themed appetizers, complemented by a selection of mimosas and bloody Marys that set the perfect tone for the day. Attendees enjoyed a relaxed atmosphere that fostered meaningful connections and professional growth.
The SHE'Light speaker sessions were the highlight of the day. They offered valuable insights into leadership, communication, and team dynamics. Our expert speakers provided actionable strategies and tools designed to enhance skills and drive success in the hospitality and tourism sectors.
Networking opportunities were abundant, with attendees engaging in lively discussions and exchanging ideas with peers and industry leaders. SHE Strength Heart Excellence - Women of Hospitality & Tourism Alaska
In March 2024, Alaska CHARR hosted our 2nd Annual SHE - an empowering and educational conference celebrating Alaskan women who work in hospitality.
SHE stands for Strength, Heart, and Excellence. This year's conference brought 125 women and men from the hospitality industry together on March 24th & 25th for a special VIP reception and an empowering day. We had networking, delicious food from US Foods, prepared by Bo Marianowits, and great cocktails and mocktails donated by The Odom Corporation, Southern Glazers Wine & Spirits, and Coca-Cola Alaska, as well as wine form 61 Degrees North Winery for everyone to enjoy.
Attendees received Badass Boss Bags filled with products made by Alaska female-owned businesses, including Alaska Concrete Collective, Alaska Glacial Skincare, Heather’s Choice, Denali Dreams Soap, and more, including custom items exclusive to SHE attendees!
